Growing up, I would always plan “dream vacations.” I would write detailed itineraries complete with hotel recommendations, dining locations and activities to do. My favorite places to plan for would be Walt Disney World, Washington, DC and Charleston, SC. Little did I know that my keen eye for detail and creative spirit would spark my future education and career goals.

I graduated in December 2011 from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Outside of my music studies, I also took coursework in mass communication, news writing, and marketing. 

After undergrad, I moved to the Washington, DC area where I built up my work experience. I served as an intern with Girls on the Run- DC before working for three years at Pacers Running in Alexandria, VA. I then worked as a Field Marketing Representative for HOKA for nearly three years. I worked with around 175 accounts and coordinated events with retailers, other brands, and community groups while promoting the goals of the company.  

After leaving HOKA , I spent two months solo backpacking Europe. I traveled to 12 countries and, despite many ups and downs, I learned so much about myself. It was a life-changing experience and made me realize that the travel bug had certainly bit me. I have taken multiple solo backpacking trips since throughout more of Europe, Canada, and Australia.

From January- June 2019, I was a Group Lead Management Professional Intern at Walt Disney World. I assisted various groups interested in traveling to Walt Disney World and helped to make their dreams a reality. I graduated in August 2019 from the University of Florida with my Master of Arts in Mass Communication with a specialization in Public Relations and Communication Management. I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Global Strategic Communication from UF. 

Also in August 2019, I founded Forward Momentum Sales & Marketing with the goal to help businesses and non-profit organizations define and implement their public relations and marketing strategies.

In addition to my freelance projects, I worked in the fintech sector from August 2020- August 2022 as a Marketing Copywriter. I am currently seeking freelance projects in copywriting, social media, and marketing. I am also open to part and full-time work opportunities with a small to mid-size company.
